Piece of Cake

Our first challenge: get the most subscribers to the Go Reality Show page in 30 hours. Easy enough... Right?

I immediately got started. I pulled out my ancient iPhone 3G with the cracked screen and got onto Facebook. It took a mere 10 minutes for it to load and finish asking my 700+ Facebook friends to help me on my simple mission. Just to be safe, I sent out over 200 text messages when I got to work at Irregardless that morning. I tweeted and facebooked the next 24 hours away -- not to mention talked to EVERYONE about it.

With a combined effort, we ended up getting a little over 300 subscribers in those 30 hours or so. While Jim and Zach were impressed, I was baffled. I thought the number of subscribers was going to be so much higher! Who knew it would be so difficult to get my friends, family and co-workers to subscribe? I sure didn't...

Well anyway, all I can say is... lesson learned. Building my network wasn't going to be a piece of cake... It was going to take a lot more than just blowing up everyone's social network feeds. No worries though... I'm not usually a fan of sweets anyway...
